KNOW, GROW and FLOW through life
“Being willing to change allows you to move from a point of view to a viewing point -- a higher, more expansive place, from which you can see both sides.” -- Thomas Crum
“Where am I in the movement of …”
This is a very powerful question that can help you get new perspectives on
any issue in your life.
To use this tool, choose a focus for consideration. It can be any topic. It can
be a broad one like life, a relationship, career, health, money, spirituality,
service, etc. It can be about an idea, concept, love, energies, a specific
problem or conflict, etc.
Ask “Where am I in the movement of …” and write down where you have been, where
you are now and where you are or could be going with respect to your focus. Then
relax. Allow the 3 perspectives – past, present and future – to sit in your
consciousness. Allow your mind to synthesize putting these pictures into
perspective. Trust your brain to make its inner connections. Write down any
insights that arise.
This process helps us make distinctions and relate to different perspectives. It
creates inner mental connections between the known and unknown potentials. It
helps broaden our understanding of the scope of what is or has been and what’s
possible.
Seeing our situation from this larger perspective can shift our consciousness,
commitment level and ability to create. We always shift our consciousness when
we integrate new relationships and perspectives into a higher, more inclusive
form.
