“…so often we look at a calendar of days as merely a
symbol of the passage of time. We forget why we are on
this earth.”
~ Lynn V. Andrews ~
I did a neat exercise a few weeks ago that I found quite enlightening. It was a simplified approach to some of the tools offered in one of our popular e-books, ‘Write Your Life.’
When we summarize the unfolding of our lives, we gain valuable insights into our big picture, life purpose and loving service. This can offer us greater meaning which in turn boosts personal clarity, self confidence and results.
What I did was write my life in:
– one word,
– one phrase,
– one sentence,
– one paragraph and
– on one page.
Clearly, each time I do this journaling exercise, I may come up with different perspectives but this simply reflects the richness of who we are. Every foray into our experience deepens our self knowledge and appreciation.
Try it and let me know if you get insights. It is so powerful have clarity and to own who we are. When we reflect on our lives from a higher and longer term perspective, we are better able to identify what is important and meaningful to us. This dignifies life events and helps us find a sense of direction and purpose.
Heal your past and begin to enjoy who you are.
