Put Your Life Together

“Have a place for everything and keep the thing somewhere else. This is not advice, it is merely custom.”
— Mark Twain

And this custom can be very frustrating:

  • Having insights and learnings in life and not remembering them.
  • Being unclear about where we are going and how to get there.
  • Wanting to re-connect with our growth journey and not finding our old notes.
  • Having records of what is important to us scattered around the house.

I, John, taught time management and journaling for many years. I found people were most bothered by:

  1. not knowing what to do and
  2. not finding things.

I have a simple suggestion to resolve both of these problems: Create a life planning binder so all your personal growth notes are stored in one place and easily found. If you can provide a 3 ring binder, a set of 5 to 10 tabs and some loose-leaf paper, I can provide the rest.

What’s important to you? Dreams, goals, healing, creating, relationships, money, career, your thoughts? To stimulate ideas, see our list of types of journals. Pick the topics that are most meaningful for you, and give them their own section in your life planning binder.

To help you get started, I’ve put some of our key forms and templates into a single word file that you can print, punch and insert into your binder. As you explore the many tracking forms, journaling tools and ‘insights on one page’ guides on the Higher Awareness site, you can print them off and put them in the appropriate section.

We recently released daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly Re-treat Yourself processes. Very soon we will offer you a complete personal development plan program. Our aim is to support you in becoming more and more aware of who you are, what you want and how you’re getting there. Keep all your personal growth notes together. Review them now and then and watch your understanding change.

Whether you want to put your life under a microscope or look into your future with a telescope, you’ll find the Life Planning binder will make it so much easier to grasp your own big picture.
